Magnetic Beads for PCR Purification & NGS Library Cleanup

PCR beads, or magnetic bead-based purification reagents, are used to clean up PCR products by removing primers, nucleotides, enzymes, and salts. This cleanup step improves sequencing accuracy and downstream assay performance. In NGS workflows, bead-based cleanup is also critical for size-selecting library fragments and removing adapter dimers to optimize sequencing output.

Magnetic beads serve as a solid-phase support for capturing and purifying biomolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins. Yes. All Cambrian Bioworks magnetic bead kits are designed for use on the Manta automated nucleic acid extraction platform. The pre-filled, cartridge-based format supports 1 to 32 samples per run and integrates seamlessly with 96-well format systems, enabling scalable, reproducible workflows in both research and clinical diagnostic laboratories.

Cambrian Bioworks kits are optimized for NGS workflows. The OncoSeek cfDNA Kit preferentially captures 150–200 bp tumor-derived fragments ideal for library preparation, while the FFPE gDNA Kit delivers high-molecular-weight DNA with sufficient integrity for sequencing. All kits are validated to produce high-purity eluates with A260/280 ratios of 1.8–2.1, minimizing downstream inhibition.
