Genomic DNA refers to the full complement of an organism's DNA, including all chromosomes. 'Regular DNA' is a general term that can refer to any DNA molecule, including plasmid, mitochondrial, or synthetic DNA. Cambrian Bioworks offers dedicated kits for whole blood (200 µL to 2 mL) and FFPE tissue samples. Both kits are compatible with the Manta automated extraction system and can also process cell cultures and bacterial cells, making them versatile for diverse clinical and research workflows.

Both the Whole Blood and FFPE gDNA Isolation Kits complete processing in approximately 28 minutes on-deck after lysis. The total workflow, including lysis, is under 30 minutes for whole blood samples. This rapid turnaround reduces bottlenecks and supports high-throughput lab operations.

The Whole Blood gDNA Kit delivers yields of 6–15 ng/µL with A260/280 ratios of 1.8–2.0 and A260/230 ratios of 2.0–2.2, indicating high purity free from protein and solvent contamination. Both kits use magnetic bead technology to ensure consistent, reproducible results across sample batches.
